Scientific Centre for Aerospace Research of the Earth (CASRE) was founded in 1992 by decision of the Presidium of National Academy of Sciences, Ukraine, as an independent juridical person at the Institute of Geological Sciences, NASU. Currently there are about 100 collaborators in the Centre among those one academician of the NASU, two Corresponding Member of the NASU, 10 doctors, 10 candidates of science and 1 phd.

Центр коллективного пользования спектрорадиометрической аппаратурой (ЦКПСА) создан при Государственном учреждении с целью наиболее рационального использования уникальных научных спектрорадиометрических приборов.

Использование данных ДЗЗ в сельском хозяйстве:
- Инвентаризация посевов;
- Оценка состояния сельхозугодий (фенологические наблюдения, обеспеченность посевов минеральными удобрениями, влагой, определение биомассы и продуктивности);
- Прогнозирование урожайности.
Создание научных основ аэрокосмического экологического мониторинга территории Украины с разработкой физико-математических моделей процессов энергомассобмена в геосистемах.
Теоретическое обоснование и экспериментальная проверка бортовой аппаратуры и технологии дистанционного зондирования.
Изучение и исследование природних ресурсов Украины.
Методы экологического мониторинга и картирования.

Kick-off-meeting on the “Earth Observation for Early Warning of Land Degradation at European Frontier” (EWALD) project, Lisbon, Portugal (January 18-20, 2023)
The international project HORIZON-MSCA-2021-SE-01-01 “Earth Observation for Early Warning of Land Degradation at the European Frontier” (EWALD) was started on December 1, 2022 as part of the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Horizon Europe Programme.
