Training workshop for students of the Department of Informatics, Faculty of Management and Informatics, University of Žilina, Žilina, Slovak Republic (November 5, 2025)
November 5, 2025 during a secondment under the project EWALD - 101086250 “Earth Observation for Early Warning of Land Degradation at European Frontier” by CASRE researchers: Prof. Sergey STANKEVICH, Cand.Sci. Iryna PIESTOVA, Cand.Sci. Anna KOZLOVA, Cand.Sci. Olga SEDLEROVA conducted a training workshop for students of the Department of Informatics of the University of Žilina, during which students gain knowledge on the European Copernicus data space ecosystem, the higher-lever Earth observation data products, the open-source geoinformation software for Earth observation data handling, the satellite data acquisition and analysis with the Google Earth Engine catalog.

33 Anniversary of the Centre founding
Dear colleagues, sincerely congratulations on the 33rd anniversary of the founding of the State Institution "Scientific Centre for Aerospace Research of the Earth of the Institute of Geological Sciences of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine"!
The staff of the Centre created highly efficient methods of solving scientific, natural resources, environmental, engineering, technological, and technical and other topical tasks. The scientific potential of the center is strengthened, replenished with new modern technical tools and devices material and technical base, our international scientific ties are increasing.
New scientific horizons are opened before us. Studies continue!
