The Second ISPRS working group IV/2 Workshop "Global Geospatial Information and Global Land Cover/Land Use Mapping" took place in Novosibirsk (Russia) during April 20-24, 2015.

The Workshop was held at the Novosibirsk Expocenter within the XI-th international exhibition and scientific Congress "GeoSebirea-2015", which was organized by the Siberian State University of Geosistem and Technologies (SSUGT) under support of the International Federation of Surveyors (FIG), the German Association of Surveying (DVW), the International Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ISPRS), the International Cartographic Association (ICA) and the International Society for Digital Earth (ISDE).

The Exhibition and Congress was attended by more than 200 scientists and specialists from nearly 100 scientific, governmental and commercial organizations from 19 countries, including Australia, Austria, Belarus, Belgium, China, Czech Republic, Germany, Israel, Italy, Kazakhstan, Mongolia, Nigeria, Poland, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Switzerland, United States, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan.

The scientific presentations entitled "Vegetation cover state evaluation within the Fukushima-1 area by multispectral and radar satellite data analysis" and “Belligerent landscape change analysis using remote mapping of vegetation cover” was delivered by CASRE head researcher, Dr. Sci. S.A. Stankevich.
